Deadly Duo

When I looked outside today I saw a large hawk across the field at the top of the tree, what I did not realize at first was that its mate in another tree on top of a squirrel nest. I had seen a hawk yesterday but did not think I would see two today. I believe they are Red-tailed Hawks. Edward blipped one last year and we've seen them from time to time; mostly in the winter. I know they have to eat but those poor squirrels. I'm afraid one or more will no longer be at our feeder. I suppose we'll figure out which and how many in the coming days by their absence. A sad day.

The one pictured is the male, I believe. Edward has the female. I think.
