Mr. President

This cheerful fellow is Dr. James Monroe, President of the Directors of the Celtic Arts Foundation (CAF), the organization that stages the annual Skagit Highland Games in Mt. Vernon, twenty miles south of our home. Cynthia and I went to the Games for the first time last year -- see my blip.

Tonight was the CAF Annual General Meeting, complete with a free buffet dinner and liquid refreshments. I was sorry that there was no musical entertainment, unlike last year, but the food was better.

Other CAF events include a Robert Burns Scottish Evening, a Celtic Concert in Seattle's Benaroya Hall, and Highland Dancing Championships. You can find information about these events, and others, on their website.
