Cravings/Who knew?

Whenever my sister comes home she
always craves food she can't get in the States.

This time it was Taramasalata and Hot Cross Buns.
(Not together, although as a child she was into some weird
food combinations, I quite clearly remember her eating
fish cakes in chicken soup).

'Anyhow', I said 'Taramasalata, no problem, but clearly
Hot Cross Buns are an Easter thing, they represent er...erm
something to do with Easter and Crosses', I said knowledgably
'so you're a bit buggered there'.

But no, she triumphantly threw down the Hot Cross Buns
onto the kitchen table like a winning poker hand at the
World Poker Championships.

Who knew?

I think I would miss Wotsits and layered Walnut cake
from M&S. But mainly Wotsits.
