It may have rained and as the floodwater rose the Riverside girls football match turned into a paddling and swimming event with the game being abandoned. By evening the rain was a memory and the Haws Park was more akin to a boating pond than football pitches. In the evening sunshine it was aesthetically a beautiful sight.
