The only clue.

For some considerable time now I've been aware of many more flowers/plants festooned/growing around the town. Some as little as this, and some quite a bit bigger. I'm not 100% sure the two are connected, but this "sign" in Oliver's Window gives me the only clue I've had as to the proliferation of flowers. It may well be that the local paper told "us" but I/we didn't take it every week as it was often little read. Since Alice it'd probably, not be read much/at all.
As a bit of an architectural bonus - there's a dead door and window revealed by the fact the cladding/paint (NO real memory which) has been removed. folk must have been a wee bit shorter, or the ground's grown.
