Still in Orkney. On my way between my hotel and the UHI Institute for Northern Studies I stopped to renew my acquaintance with the ruins of the Bishop’s Palace. Norway’s King Haakon also stopped off here (to die) after failing to reconquer Scotland at the Battle of Largs. And the rest is history...
