Wednesday 4 March 2009: The Big Easy
Is what New Orleans is called. However, during hurricane Katrina it was not that easy at all. Lots of flooding damage. On this picture you can see works in progress on the newer and higher causeway over Pont Chartrain, north of New Orleans. What did I do there? I had to do my physical in Miami, so I rented a car in Mobile, drove to New Orleans and took a plane from there to Miami. A lot of effort just to re-check my medical condition. Tomorrow part 2 of this exercise and the day after part 3.
