One Street 2

This might have made a good starting point for my one street series, as this is the very foot of Great Horton Road, where it takes the form of a shadowy lane climbing the hill between two grand buildings, the Alhambra Theatre on the left, and the vacant but hopefully to be revived Odeon on the right.

The image also lends itself to a playful Taoist reading, with the light of the Alhambra balanced against the dark of the Odeon, and The Way treading the line between them.

A year ago I blipped from where the figures are standing looking down the last bit of the Road, so I've back tagged that as part of the series.

Today's Le Guin connection, Threshold, one of her lesser known novels. It was originally published as The Beginning Place, but the copy I've had since 1982 was under the second title, and so that's how I've always known this book.
