Picking Up Crabs

A better day after yesterday!  Some sunny spells in the morning, clouded over in the afternoon.  By teatime, the rain started, easing this evening.

I've been working on the museum desk all day.  Wool Week is over, and a fairly quiet day.  Still a few visitors about, even some WW ones too.  Met up with mam for lunch at the Olive Tree.  Been out west for a run after work, and walkies with Sammy.  A late dinner, and then off to work in the pub later.

Peerie Brian messaged me, and I headed out to help him pick up some crabs.  There was four boats landing crabs, the Curlew, Altair, Ivy Leaf LK 339 and Convallaria LK 198.  Peerie Brian will get the crabs back to Scalloway, where they will be weighed and then sold on, heading southward bound.  Landing the crabs from Convallaria are father and son, Allan Umphray in the boat, son John-Robert Umphray in centre and Peerie Brian on the trailer (all 3 Scalloway), with Sammy keeping check.  Taken at West Burrafirth pier.
