Over the garden hedge

There are beautiful views wherever you look in Edinburgh, especially when the sun is shining and the trees are bare. I like the way that the sky colour captured here starts blue at the top of the frame and drifts down to sepia at the bottom.

In the distance here is Calton Hill. The buildings visible from left to right are the National Monument of Scotland, the City Observatory , the Nelson Monument, Old Observatory House, and the Dugald Stewart Monument.
