Simpson Desert - maintenance

Every morning, everything gets checked. We stopped to help someone yesterday whose power steering had failed. They were in deep trouble.
M. gave them some of our power steering oil, which may have got them out to Mt Dare. Otherwise having your vehicle relocated possibly costs more than the vehicle is worth. Yes, there are wrecks all along the Simpson.

We were down the 'bottom' of the Simpson these past couple of days. Hardly any traffic at all - maybe one team of two? We were far more bothered by the flies. They're terrible this year.
My tent fly (seem to be stuck on 'flies'!) was wet with dew for the 2nd morning in a row. Most unusual in the desert. I rolled it into a plastic bag and dried it out later.
We drove down to the Lone Gum Tree, which grows way out on its lonesome, and no-one knows how it got there.

We drove on the Rig Rd until we got to our current campsite, on a claypan.
