Micro Flowers

For a number of years we have had a couple of Adenanthos sericeus - Mallee Legend (AKA Dwarf Albany Woolly Bush) growing in our garden. They are like soft silvery Christmas Trees but they have never had flowers. This year we noticed little bright red flecks and discovered they are flowers. They are about 5mm diameter and hidden amongst the foliage.

The thing I like about the Australian bush is that I need to slow down to see it; for me it rarely jumps out and says, "Look at me!". True beauty needs to be pondered.
