Cameo Floor

Standing in the lobby of the Cameo cinema, sheltering from the rain while waiting for the bus, I was admiring the pattern on the floor. According to Wikipedia this is terrazzo, a manmade material. I think the pattern is gloriously off-beat as the wavy lines run on the diagonal to the entrance, the spots run straight-on.

The Cameo started life as the King's Cinema on 8 January 1914 and is one of the oldest cinemas in Scotland still in use, renamed the Cameo in 1949.
