The Typographical Treats of Ballydehob

Back in Ballydehob this morning for an Irish lesson. I met up with Robert & Finola in Budds for a strong coffee first - Jimi Hendrix blaring forth. The brain had gone re Irish, I couldn't even remember how to ask someone's name :/  A real brain work out - it must be good for us.

Afterwards - inspired by this short video from 1977 - I had a wander around Ballydehob, not looking at the colours colours this week, but at the typography and there are still some wonderful, hand painted examples. I've Just added on pix to show some signage in situ. Amazing to see how many different shops there were in the 70s otherwise not much has changed- there are still a few flares to be seen!

We shall be back in Ballydehob tonight as Robert is giving a talk on the folklore of the area. He is always a very entertaining speaker.

I think this might qualify for the Tiny Tuesday Challenge as some letters are very small - they're certainly colourful!
