Up, up, & away early

We were packed & on our way before 9am. First stop a very civilized & relaxed breakfast at Sanders Garden Centre. We laughed about our speedy retreat from the lodge. I for one had nothing to say to the owners when they appeared as we were packing the car. We let Josie do the talking, Sandy & I waited in the car. I found the ideal plant in memory of Ruby, Carolyn's dog that passed away recently. A very pretty bright pink Saxifrage called Black Ruby. It would look lovely in the planter that Carolyn had bought me as a thank you for taking care of Ruby when she was poorly.
We took the A38 back into Devon, stopping for a mooch about in Tiverton. We all bought lovely fresh, locally grown veggies from a stall in the Pannier market, mine included a kilo of pickling onions. Life on the edge!!
Arrived back in Chudleigh at 4pm. Coffee & a cake, then it was time to say goodbye to the two maids as they headed home. Certainly a week to remember in more ways than one.

Thanks to BikerBear/Anni for hosting Flower Friday
