Saruman's Tower

Ain't gonna lie, this isn't pleasant. And that's not Gollum climbing up the side.

We live in a very hard water area, and the error cade suggested it was probably long overdue for us to have cleaned out the washing machine filter.

Twenty years go by so quickly...

It's taken me most of the day to get the damned thing out; caked as it was with solid calcium buildup and several bright pennies...

It only came free when I gave up pandering to it and went large with lump-hammer and no1 screwdriver, no longer caring if it broke.

And with a little vinegar and a brush, all is well again. I may even have clean clothes tomorrow...
