Manchester Central Library

An inspirational afternoon at Manchester Central Library today, where the northern launch of the National Emergencies Trust took place.

We were treated to a couple of songs from the Manchester Survivors Choir, a choir made up from the survivors of the Manchester terror attack, as well as a very moving speech from Ruth Murrell. Ruth not only lost her best friend in the attack, but she and her daughter also suffered terrible injuries.

The National Emergencies Trust has been established to work with local and national charities to raise and distribute money for victims in the event of a disaster or emergency.

An afternoon which put things into perspective.
