Solstice Sunset

After a day of cleaning and tidying for Christmas, it was good to escape for a few minutes to watch the solstice sunset at Thorpe Meadows. It certainly wasn't spectacular, more a gentle fading of the light, but at least now the days start to lengthen, imperceptibly at first, but rapidly gathering speed. Within a month or so, snowdrops will be in bloom.
