Shooting Gaskets

Today I built a makeshift lightbox and shot gaskets.

We're working on a product video for FelPro Automotive Gaskets.  The gaskets in the video are cg renders from client supplied CAD files.  In order to make sure the video is product accurate I shot still of the actual gaskets to compare with the CAD files.  We did find a few subtle differences that the CG artist was able to incorporate into the renders.  And I learned about table top shooting.  Good stuff!  This blip is an iphone shot of the setup we used.
