Inchkeith

Across the rooftops of Portobello floats the island of Inchkeith. This uninhabited island of 57 acres is part of Fife, not Edinburgh. Maybe Fife will look after it better than the Scottish Capital. Today I found out the crib on The Mound and the Norwegian Christmas tree have been removed on the 4th day of Christmas to enable a stage to be assembled for the increasingly anarchic Hogmanay street party. Our own tree will twinkle until twelfth night!
