Flower Power

Today I appear to have photographed nothing other than flowers. This morning I snapped away at many different wildflowers out in the scrub but afterwards I spotted this plant as we came back from lunch. 

The bees were very busy. 

I loved the architecture of these blooms (see Extra). I have no idea what they are though. Can you enlighten me?

Between dog walking and lunch, we cycled into town - a round trip of about 15 km. I took the camera but didn't stop to take photographs. Perhaps next time. To be honest, the part of town that we saw was less than photogenic.
