INTELLIGENT DESIGN?

My landlord is a very nice guy, but as an architect he lives in the "could do better house". Not only did he forget to put any sound insulation between my apartment & my upstairs neighbors -  he also designed my toilet with no access to the cistern. Last night the stupid thing filled up & continued flowing - no way to stop it without demolishing the place.

He's sending round a man on Monday - touch wood?

In the meantime, every time I need to fill a kettle, or take a shower I need to go into the cellar & open the stop-valve & listen to money flowing down the drain……..
