The Life of Bri

New garden

The dogs out enjoying their new garden (although you may need to look at this large to see them).

So, after about 90 minutes of homelessness around lunchtime, we got our keys and got into our new house.

It's in a nice spot - although the views from the house itself aren't that great, the surroundings are lovely and you get a good view from this spot (and even better at the top of the lane).

There's a fair bit of cosmetic work to do in the house, but the most important thing is that it *feels* right.

Absolutely baltic though - inside and out - it has been empty for a few weeks so I've got the boiler going full chat at the minute trying to warm it up.

We're about 70m higher than our old house, and a much more exposed spot - it may just have been a particularly cold day today, but it feels a fair bit colder. With all the rain recently there's been a load of field run-off across the lane - crampons may be required to reach the car in the morning...

Just me and the dogs camping out here tonight - they've already booked their spot by the stove.
