Lonely beech trees

There are four superb beech trees on this country road. There used to be more but they are on shallow chalk soil and tend to keel over so we have lost quite a few over the years.
They are beautiful - I was going to say especially beautiful in the frost and snow but that is not right. They are beautiful in all seasons.
