Six and seven

The hours of daylight are slowly getting longer but it was still dark when I left for work this morning and dark when I arrived home, as well as being wet and miserable.  I was working in the kitchen today and there was a slight sense of post Christmas/New Year daftness, or maybe just relief at not having to peel any more brussels sprouts.
