Remains of the Stone Pier can be discerned between and behind the Swanage Pier

The Stone Pier stone, long unusable and ruined, carried quarrying products and included a tramway which ran the length of the pier and some way along the seafront.  This is probably the most coveted part of Swanage for keen photographers to shoot.
