The Red Lion Pub

The pub in the centre of the village has got a brand spanking new sign - and it looked very shiny in the sunshine as I passed today.

Almost three years ago the pub shut down unexpectedly and lay dormant whilst looking for new managers. The pub is owned by Sam Smiths of Tadcaster - who seem to close down pubs at will and look for new staff. The same has happened in Clifford, the next village to us. A pub there was closed for ages and the re-opened - but has since closed again!

I guess business must be booming here in Bramham if they have splashed out on a new sign.

A couple of outings for me today - dog walk and shopping. Apart from that I have been head down, busy making stuff for Mrs madwill.
