Wroxeter

Another day of exploring Shropshire, this time Ironbridge and then the Roman ruins at Wroxeter.

We've both been to Ironbridge before, but it was great to come and see it again, just the sheer size and structure of the bridge and marvel at its construction. We also went to see the huge blast furnace at Coalbrookdale. Lots of old engines to admire too, if that's your thing!  It's definitely Mike's thing!

The ruins of Viroconium Cornoviorum, near Wroxeter, was the fourth largest city in Roman Britain. The interpretation boards and the museum were really interesting and you really got an idea of what it must have been like. Lottie enjoyed herself too, but had to wear the dreaded coat as it was so cold!
