Boy soldier

Last night we headed to Glasgow for supper with friends over from the US for Celtic Connections, then a show with the Luke Daniels Band and Sam Amidon.

As we stomped up Broughton Street on our way to Waverley Station to catch the train to Glasgow we bumped into a friend from the Isle of Harris (last mentioned in my blip of 8 June 2012). She's in Edinburgh for a few days to visit her daughter. We invited her round for supper this evening.

This afternoon I popped out to Stockbridge Market to buy some supplies for tonight's supper. On the way back I blipped this display in the window of St Stephen Street Antiques. Those of a certain age will recognise some Wade whimsies here.
