The chips are down

The sun shone. Porty people were swimming. Dogs were wagging tails and exercising their owners. The Porty monthly market plied its organic trade in Brighton Park.

The tide was way out. That made us feel even more left out of Europe this morning. It’s going to take some getting used to.

I hoped the Six Nations rugby v Ireland might have lifted the spirits. Scotland made too many errors in a match I thought they should have won.
