Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO)

This is the 'Ross Chouest', owned by Edison Chouest Offshore. One of the fastest expanding offshore fleet in the Gulf of Mexico. Started in 1960 and now one of the main and leading companies in the supply and anchor handling market over here. The weather is grey with rain today, so the light is lousy. But nevertheless it is easy to see why the Chouest vessels are called the 'Pumpkin Fleet' Their biggest vessel is the 'Laney Chouest', which happens to be also the largest anchor handling ship of its type in the world. More than 100 meters long and a total power of 29,000 horsepower installed. The 'Ross' and the 'Laney Chouest' are working in tandem here, installing suction anchors. I see a yellow VLA (Vertical Load Anchor) on her deck, so I wonder if this information is correct. I could have showed you a picture of the 'Laney Chouest' of course, but this one looked better.
