Life on the Good Intent

The Gills Have it

It was so good to get outside today even though the ground is very squelchy. The buzzards were courting overhead and signs of life emerging, plants and animals. Ladybirds among the dead vegetation (one of the excellent reasons for not cutting foliage back in autumn), snowdrops in full bloom and buds swelling on the shrubs. The extra is a Bluetit against the blue sky.
I did a bit of tidying round the pond and accidentally scooped up this wee newt with some fallen leaves. Returned safely to the water after a few photos.
