It was good (briefly) to wake up at home. Sadly the day took a very sad turn after I received some urgent messages to contact a friend first thing, after posting a very cheery happy birthday message to another friend on fb. It obviously wasn’t going to be good news.

The worst in fact, after some prolonged back pain last year and unsuccessful physio, she was recently diagnosed with lung cancer (she’d never smoked a cig in her life and was super fit) doctors have now decided it’s too late for any further treatment & she’s rapidly gone downhill and been in hospital the past week with fluid on her lungs and there’s nothing more they can do. Out of nowhere this young, bright, funny and caring soul will be leaving us anytime now.

Beyond words to find things have escalated so dramatically - spent most of the afternoon finding photos to share with a mutual friend to try and keep both our spirits up when it’s now just a matter of time.
