Alan Ramsay

This morning was really nice, sunny with a brisk wind ahead of Storm Ciara’s arrival. By the time the rugby started it was very windy and decidedly damp. Best not to dwell on the quality of the game or the score; the weather couldn’t have helped. I went into town this morning and walked down to Stockbridge and back up the Water of Leith. The statue of Alan Ramsay by the Floral Clock is usually in silhouette but the low sunlight gets reflected off the windows on the north side of Princes Street and lights up the dark side.
