Sending the carpet away to be cleaned

With a week on strike ahead, time to tackle the living room. Tired paint, cracks in the plaster and the carpet from Hell. Which was probably put in by the builders who did the place up. On the cheap.
Spent the morning emptying the room and the afternoon pulling up the carpet and underlay.
Then it was time for football!
