Tattie Day in Kelso. Seed potatoes, and much more ....

We didn't need seed potatoes, since we discovered last year that saving our own worked really well. But old habits die hard ... we managed to keep the number down though, just some earlies.

To compensate we got some cheese from the Jersies at Stitchill, some honey from Chain Bridge, and some ginger wine (non-alcoholic). The best find was some bere meal - barley flour. Grown and milled in Northumberland from seed from the Uists, not a commercial crop but just an experiment. I'm looking forward to making some bannocks.
