Thought this rather forlorn-looking character deserved a haiku as an epitaph. We had very heavy snow overnight and again this morning and, although it's all melted here now, it was enough to postpone my school visit this afternoon: the teacher I was meant to be working with hadn't been able to get home last night as the roads over the Mendip Hills were impassable and today's snow is likely to stick around up there; we reckoned our meeting could wait for another day so she could make sure she got home tonight!
