Biddulph Grange

Today we spent a very pleasant afternoon exploring the 'strange' delights of Biddulph Grange Gardens near Congleton -  an excellent survivor of the great age of Victorian gardening.
The gardens are laid out with a 'country' theme - and you can enter a tunnel in Egypt guarded by two Sphinx and emerge  through the front door of a Cheshire Cottage - my extras may help you with this concept :-)
The  'downside' was there were steps, steps and more steps.  One of my extras shows Mrs MD climbing the rather steep steps to 'The Watchtower' in the China Garden.
A most fascinating and enjoyable visit.
