Gary the Street Artist

There is a lot of poverty in Glasgow, there are a lot of buskers and a lot of begging. When I was walking into work this morning I passed by this guy sat cross legged in a bus shelter, I just looked down briefly and saw he was drawing and the drawings weren't bad.

He had a small paper cup in front of him like what beggars do sometimes.

He was copying advertising photos out of a magazine.

I walked passed but then stopped went back gave him a donation and asked if I could take his photo. He said yes, I asked what his name was and he said Gary in a soft defiantly not Glasgow accent. Possibly English which I was surprised at.

I said his drawings were good, he said thank-you and I went on.
