Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

Empty and disintegrating

A metaphor???

Beautiful day today, a bit warmer.  Friends C and P DELIVERED some groceries by boat to our dock this am. from Vancouver   milk, coffee and fresh veggies.....so we’re set for another week!   Have to admit it was lovely to have a live chat with another human, if from a distance.   (Thank you, C and P!  Bless you!   so grateful for you taking care of us oldies.)

Washed my 4 squares of floor, made poppy seed muffins (thanks Kirsten and girls for leaving it), then cleaned out some frig drawer and felt compelled to make apple crisp from the apples I could salvage…so H and I sat in the sun on the to enjoy it. And took the boat across the bay to deliver and pick up a chain saw and another wee chat with a human (from a distance.)     And had a little time to work on my Ps lesson……:-)

Now there is talk of closing the border so we will be monitoring that!   :-)   Not sure how they can really do it...too much commerce.... but everyday there are new developments, just when you thought nothing more could shut down,... Vancouver is sort of getting on board now.  Hopefully we won't be forced to leave.

Check out my other journal (fotoperks) for the latest creative learning project for these kids out of school.  When we do get back to Seattle...there is so much to help with... 30% of the kids at our grandsons' High School depend on the meal program there... so starting today they can go and pick up a meal.  the vice principal was out collecting donations for basic supplies.    The food banks are badly hurting as all the restaurants are closed.....Breaks my heart
