Les fleurs de l'anniversaire sont mort

Still no sign of it being light at anything like a useful time of day. Still, I know the world turns and soon the light will continue to shine past teatime.

I've photographed this bunch of flowers many times. Their colours are vivid but not too harmonious so they have always been trumped by a better/more relevant photo. They are the flowers got for Fiona's birthday and they've lasted very well but I fear their time now is not long. They won't see daylight shining past teatime.

And what's with the French? I hear you ask. I don't know, I reply. I just like it.
