Time To Build An Ark

Blipping earlier than usual as we are experiencing repeated power outages as the rain and storm winds increase. We've had over 10 inches of rain in the past 48 hours (approx 260mm) and are told to expect another 300mm or so. It is so windy now it's not safe to go outdoors. There have been tornadoes up the coast - nature certainly seems angry.

I had a quick run into town this morning - it is Australia Day and these feisty souls were trying to raise the flags for a ceremony at the RSL grounds. They had arranged an Australia Day breakfast for approx 150 people but the severe weather meant only a handful were able to make it.

This is my third go to upload this pic and words! The power keeps going off so I may be unable to comment for a while. Better start building an ark ....
