Lockdown Day 6 - Looking Back

British Summer Time and it felt Arctic!

I didn't realise at the time but a walk before breakfast was probably in the warmest conditions of the day.  At the time it was quite calm and in the early sun a pleasant way to start the day.  Later in the day the wind picked up and was extremely cold.

Finding different routes starting from home to maintain some variety in walking can prove difficult, but I made a detour over a newly built golf course to 'spice' things up a bit.  The golf course has never opened, despite it being constructed a few years ago.  I was told that the original developers were trying to sell it last year, but whether they were successful or not, I have no idea.  The course, just 9 holes, looks ready to use but there is no club house so they can't offer any sort of package for would be members.

In the past, some golf courses would be developed using imported materials for land forming purposes, mainly waste from civil construction projects, which the developer would charge for being deposited on the land.  It was definitely done to make money.  Still this course looks to have been constructed well and it is a pity that it isn't being used.

On the way back I passed fields with new born lambs.  I had to smile; it looks as though the skin is too big for their small bodies, so has wrinkled up to fit better.

Day Miles: 8.4 miles       Total Miles: 399.5 miles
