Sunday 27 January 2013: Bright as a Button
I'm gradually accumulating a pile of shirt buttons that fall off. Thankfully most of them are from sections of the shirt that I never button, such as the top button, or the rear of the collar.
When in Brittany one year we saw the chateau of the chap who invented the four-hole button. He started life as a penniless orphan, he ended as a very rich man with a massive grand house.
Very strange day today, light and bright, very breezy and just recently a sudden shower. Not much else to report. At the moment a homemade rice pudding is about to complete, it's had the final stir and should be ready to eat soon...
