Deja Vu

Regulars will recognise this from earlier in the month - here's my version!

This occupied building made the papers yesterday as the eviction of the squatters has been postponed due to the owners of the building having become bankrupt! The story is interesting: the building known locally as the 'Coal Store'/Carboneria was originally built to house migrant workers here to build the barrio in which it stands, Sant Antoni. It lay empty for many years until occupied four years ago by needy folk with alternative lifestyles. Now the locals support it strongly with its spaces for dance classes, social events and all sorts of craft workshops and dance classes, and a 'free' shop which passes on clothes that people hand in. No-one knows how long it will continue to be usefully occupied!
