Climbing clematis

From the Chancelot Path, you can look over the very fine Warriston Allotments. There's a clematis growing splendidly on the fence there, and we noticed this morning that it has leapt a divide and started colonising a tree. Even more splendid. I wonder where it will end. We were up pretty early and walked pre-breakfast, which was a full cooked Scottish. Very self-indulgent. Mind you, we had a very light goat's cheese salad for dinner, so we compensated there.

We've had another fairly quiet day. I've been in touch with lots of people, messaging and so forth. All fine. Various people in different parts of the world emerging from lockdown. We're still stuck at home. Oh well. It's for the best. Unfortunately my afternoon zoom was cancelled - partly because zoom apparently wasn't behaving today and partly because one participant had a migraine. Luckily our post-dinner drinks (well, post-dinner for us, not for OT in NYC) are on Skype, so we won't be affected by zoom's glitches. I hope it will be fine for book group tomorrow. It would be horrid to have to do this on Teams....

I did spend a bit of time on the spinning bike and also did a bit of work. After all, it was a pretty grey day outside, so that was probably for the best. I also updated May's album on flickr. An unconscionable number of pictures of flowers!
