Tip-Toe Thru' the Tulips

Still in full lockdown till the end of next week at the earliest, so what do I blip when it's rain and gales here today. When all else fails there's always a flower shot, however, as I try to vary content each day, that's not good form, so personally I'm a tad unhappy with my contribution.

My album of the day is "Tapestry" by Carole King. Listening to one of music's most gifted songwriters as the rain and wind battered the kitchen window, I sat with my cup of tea and got lost in this remarkably expressive and intimate songfest, a defining album for the baby-boomer generation. Song highlights for me are "It's Too Late" and "You've Got a Friend", a timeless album with lyrics that are still relevant today.

On this day in 1976 I saw The Average White Band supported by Kokomo, a night of soul and funk.
