Love spoon

Over a decade ago I tried my hand at wood carving. I found plans for this love spoon and wondered if I could possibly carve it. Well, many hours later I surprised myself.

The spoon is carved from a single piece of bass, or linden wood. The chain links are all separate but linked. The balls move freely. There were no tricks involved - just a lot of very careful carving.
