Echidna

Son S and wife took a drive through to Coombabah Conservation Park near the Gold Coast, QLD., for a walk on their day off, and were fortunate to see 3 Koala, and this little fella, an Echidna, which are widespread throughout Australia and south eastern New Guinea.

In Greek mythology, Echidna was a monster, half-woman and half-snake, who lived alone in a cave. She was the mate of the fearsome monster Typhon, and was the mother of monsters, including many of the most famous monsters in Greek mythology.     - Wikipedia.
