Posh Football

Rob's football match this morning was against Shrewsbury Town and was played at Lilleshall National Sports Centre.

This was the view as we walked down to the pitches!

Originally built in 1831 as a hunting lodge for the Duke of Sutherland....the estate is approached through ornate gates....exact replicas of those at Buckingham Palace. In the mid 20th Century the estate was purchashed and turned into a elite sports training centre. The England World Cup winning team of 1966 trained here for 2 weeks prior to their victory and it is still home to many sporting organisations.

A very close match but we came away with a 1-0 victory!

Rob's off to the cinema in a moment and Gav's taking Lucy out for a driving lesson. Lots of homework for them to do later though :(

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend x
